UCSF Cardiovascular Genetics Program

We specialize in evaluation for:

  • Familial cardiomyopathies, such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), idiopathic or familial dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC), and restrictive cardiomyopathy
  • Genetic arrhythmia syndromes, including long QT, short QT, Brugada, catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia, idiopathic ventricular fibrillation, and other atypical idiopathic arrhythmias
  • Isolated and syndromic arterial aneurysms and dissections including Marfan, Loeys-Dietz, vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndromes as well as familial Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm and Dissection (TAAD)
  • Genetic dyslipidemias
  • Isolated and syndromic congenital heart defects
  • A family history of unexplained sudden unexplained death

Referrals:
