Translocation 4/14 (FGFR3/IGH) FISH

Performing Lab:
UCSF Cytogenetics Lab
Test Code:
TR414 (Non-Blood Sample); BT414 (Blood Sample)
Technique:
Fluorescence in situ Hybridization
Description:

TR414 (Non-Blood Sample): Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization (FISH) is performed using FGFR3/IGH FISH probe to detect  FGFR3/IGH gene fusion (commonly caused by the translocation between chromosome 4p16 and 14q32) from non-blood samples.

BT414 (Blood Sample): Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization (FISH) is performed using FGFR3/IGH FISH probe to detect FGFR3/IGH gene fusion (commonly caused by the translocation between chromosome 4p16 and 14q32) from leukemic blood samples.
